This is an interesting process that involves incorporating the design pattern into sand, then filling the cavity left behind with molten metal which is left to cool before the sand mould is removed. The metal is finished in black for a smart look, complemented by a bronze-painted top. A mouth-blown glass shade protects the flickering flame of the candle, which means this piece also works well outdoors, as the shade shields the candle from any breeze.
